Pointer Painting was founded by Asa, who draws inspiration from childhood weekends spent with his grandfather and their English pointers.

Those early experiences—raising quail, working with animals, and learning the value of hard work—instilled in him a lifelong appreciation for precision, reliability, and care. That same attention to detail is now at the core of every project the company takes on.

Originally launched as Davis Custom Finishes, the business rebranded to Pointer Painting in early 2025 to better reflect Asa’s personal story and the values behind the company’s work. What began as a small operation has since grown into a trusted name in Nashville for both residential and commercial painting.
